Question:

New computer and ipod.?

My mom had got a replacement laptop because she was having problems with her old one, so Best Buy replaced it. before that however, our computer repairman backed up her whole hard drive, basically cloning it, all her settings, programs, files, data, etc. Now my brother is worried that he will lose all his songs on his ipod since it's a different computer. I'm not too familiar with itunes, because I use a Creative Zen, but I know itunes deletes songs off the ipod through the music library on the computer. So how can my brother use his ipod with the new computer without losing what he has on it now? Thanks

  1. if its all backed up, than move those songs into the new computer, cant have music without the main file

  2. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net

  3. you dont even need to back ti up really, if u plug it in to the new computer al you need to do is transfer the songs from the ipod to the new computers itunes.. so yeh... not to worry. just dont hit the sync button cuz then ur screwed.

  4. as you state on your question, the new hard drive has the files of the old, just open itunes and add the songs that you previously add, its that simple....

  5. well u u attached the expensive screwed up old laptop to the new one by a cord and see if it works and if it don'tt then u can just place the old harddrive on top of the new computer and hope it magically goes on to the other one. now if tht dont work u should use the microwave to heat it up like a sauna. if tht dont work UR SCREWED!!!!!!! or just plain ignant!! (ps tht mean stupid) stupid!!!
