  1. For waaaaaaay under 70pounds, I buy cordless drills of the Nu-Tool make from Makro (but you need an account, you have to be self-employed - see if a friend can take you along if you are not) which are usually about 30pounds.  They are tough, reliable, easy to use and have taken serious abuse from me (forgetting about them and laeaving them out in the rain!) and still work just great.

Honestly where do they get off with a 3-figure price tag for DeWalt, Makita and the other brands?  I could get at least four Nu-Tool drill/drivers for that!

(All my power-tools have come from there.  Great angle- grinders, corded drills, pendulum saw, it's all good!)

  2. Most of the price for cordless tools is in the battery, Cheaper tools have cheaper batteries that may not have the torque, or may not hold their charge. From my experience, the cheaper ones will discharge if left unused for a week or so,(and it is not a good idea to keep them in the charger for long periods --they may overheat) and will rapidly discharge under medium to high load.

  3. RYOBI

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ON CORDLESS DRILLS  BUT RYOBI DELIVER FOR A GOOD PRICE AND ALL THERE TOOLS USE THE SAME 18V BATTERIES
