New cordless phones are trash!! cant phone if the power is out whats with that?

Question

i got a new phone and it wasnt cheap you plug it into the phone line and then the adaptor into the power plug in.. the phone has a battry but when my power when out for 6 hours i could not phone out??? what kinda garbage is this? what if you need to phone in an emrgancy with no power ? so yesterday i found an old phone at the dump. cleaned it up and it works fine no power cord with it.. what do you think about the new cordless phones?

I recomend the new T Mobile service just releaesd.

Its a cell phone but within 50ft of your house you get unlimited calling (kinda like a land line).

It's also very affordable

get a cell phone. much more convenient. and probably near the same in cost or maybe even cheaper by now. i used to have a land line, but now with high speed internet, no use.

Keep a corded phone that doesn't need power for backup only.  Cell phones are far tooo expensive (even though everyone seems to have them - but me).

because a regular cordless phone needs power to send and transmit the conversation.  Its just like a wireless modem, if the power goes out, my laptop still works because of the battery, but cant connect to the internet or print because the modem isn't sending or receiving since there is no power along with the printer.

Just remember to always have a Corded phone for back up. It doesn't plug into any electrical outlet, so if power goes out you can still send and receive.

It's just so much cheaper and more convenient to have a cell phone. I say boooo to cord and cordless phones! Take it back.
