  1. If you are planning to race it, I would check valve clearance weekly also. Along with checking all bolts. Other than that, make a checklist for yourself and check them off as you go. If you have an owner's manual it should have a pretty detailed list of things to check. Also, before you even put it on the track, take it it apart and lube all supension, steering head and wheel bearings, that way you know it's been done.

  2. get the owners maul it will give you everything you need to know, down to each race or hours. that is a racers best friend

  3. 1. clean air filter daily- this saves gas and prevents you     blowing your o-rings

    2. oil chain every day as well (if racing do it in between every race) this provides maximum thrust and saves chain damage and wear

    3. change your oil monthly

    4. run high octane (premium) gas through it only, regular can result in fowling out of plugs and also doesnt give it that rip that premium does

    5. if it is a liquid cooled always be sure to add antifreeze when needed

follow those easy tips and you should place pretty well and also increase the life of your new bike

  5. I dont know about weekly...But after every race..Change oil, clean air-filter and oil..oil chain..lube cables...Before race...make sure you have a clean air-filter..Your chain is lubed...check the air in your tires..blead air from forks...Check spokes...Make sure your chain is tight enough...Check your pockets and make sure you have a few hundred bucks to race....Gate fees=10 bucks, entry fees 25 to 35 per moto...Gas=$7.25 gal for 110 race gas.....
