New driver, average car insurance?

Just wondering here, to the new drivers, how much do you pay per month for car insurance. I am canadian so that would be helpful too. If I were to take drivers ed and then get my g2 that way...What would I be expecting to pay monthly?

im not from canada but i kno that if you get insurance on yr parents policy (ie yr a named driver) then it is a h**l of a lot cheaper- cos i have saved about 500 pounds on mine (1000 dollars) in a year

in phoenix my 16 year old pays 173.00 a month

Depends of the car you own. I pay 88$ for my 94 Jimmy and its in great condition. So older car less, newer car more.
