New drivers license (or ID) when I turn 18?

I have already had my full drivers license for a year. I just turned 18. When my current license is scanned will it come up with the correct age (no longer a minor) or do I have to get a new license? I live in NY.

what is the expiration date on your current license? if it has expired then get a new one...you have too...but if it has not expired then you don't need a new one

Your actual age will show.  By the way, the minor indicated on your license means you are under 21 years of age.

Your age will scan as 18.  Your actual age is not recorded, rather it is your birth date.
