New ear piercings, gaging questions?

Question, I just got my ears pierced (second piercing) and I was wondering what gage I am. I want to buy a pair of morbid metal earings, but i don't wanna make my piercing bigger... Just wondering what the normal size was...

when u start putting in bigger earings or heavier earings u do make the piercing bigger also wearing them 2 bed doesnt help

It's  stretching.  Gauge is a size.  If you got pierced with a gun, they're 20g.

1-If you were pierced with a gun the size could be either an 18 or 20 depending on where you went.  If you were pierced with a needle the size should have been discussed with you, but it was more than likely an 16 or 18.  

2-A 16 gauge is larger than a 20.
