New element between carbon and nitrogen?

is there any way someone can find a new element to fit in between carbon and nitrogen?

  1. No because there is no whole number of protons between 6 and 7.  Carbon has 6 protons in the nucleus and Nitrogen has 7.  So if somehow you find a brand new whole number between 6 and 7, you could hypothetically find a new element....until then i wouldn't count on it.

  4. Not unless you can find half a proton.  Carbon has 6, and nitrogen has 7.

  5. Unless you find a way to develop an element with 6.5 protons, I can't see how.
