New house door creaks when open oiled it with household oil, now it creaks louder! Help!?

You said open so it has to do with the hinges only.

If at the jamb creaking, then the door is touching in spots.

Could plane it to fit if wood.

New house, dont worry, get the contractor to fix it.

It it is creaking at the hinges when you open and close it you might have to get the oil into the hinge.  Pull each hinge pin one at a time and oil it.  Put the first one back in and do the same to the second and third ones.  This should correct the noise.

Remove the hinge pins from the hinges and remove the door. Next use light 200 grit wet sand paper and lightly sand each pin as well as the insides of each hinge. Now reassemble and use CRC Silicone spray as a lubricant, not household oil.

CRC works 10 times better than WD-40 as both are silicone based.

The frame is improperly made. It is probably not square.
