New iPhone to be launched at the end of September
It is being reported that the new iPhone is now closer to being launched than ever before. The phone was previously expected to hit shelves by the end of the year, or the start of 2012, but it now seems like the iPhone will be available well before the end
of the year.
The new iPhone is being referred to as the iPhone4S, mainly due to the fact that it shares a lot of similar features in its physical appearance. The upcoming iPhone and the iPhone 4 are both the same shape and size, but the iPhone 4S is going to have an
8 mega pixel camera, compared to the 5 mega pixel one on the iPhone 4 and it is also going to have a much better antenna built into it.
According to a number of sources, the phone will be carried by three of the biggest telecom firms in the United States as, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint will all be distributing the phone simultaneously. It is rather odd for these three companies to be releasing
the phone in October, when almost everyone else is certain that the phone will be unveiled in September.
Apples representatives have time and time again gone on to hint that the company's target month was September and that all new products, would be launched into the market during their September quarter.
Now with Apple looking to launch the phone before the end of the year, it seems like they are bound to give the Sony PlayStation Vita a run for its money. The new hand-held from Sony is set to be launched before the end of the year, with October being the
month that seems the likeliest and with the United States and European market getting their hands on it early next year.
Sony are technically trying to develop a social media device with the Vita, but should the iPhone be launched at nearly the same time, then it could cause a major hiccup in Sony’s plans.
The iPhone has gone on to convert a number of gamers, who now prefer to use their cellular phones, as opposed to handhelds to play games and hence, they might not feel the urge to go ahead and spend cash on a Vita, while they can enjoy games, a touch screen
and so much more on an iPhone as well.
It is unclear as to if Apple had planned to overlap with Sony’s launch date initially, or if it has been an act of randomness, but the two companies are now bound to go head to head, in the near future.
