New internet site offers free parking space for RV owners at golf clubs
A new internet site RVGolfers.com has come up with a brand new idea which would enable the private golf courses in the US to efficiently cope with the financial crunch they had been facing for a few years.
The subscriber-based service will offer the RV owners, who sign up for membership on the site, free parking facilities for their participation in the golf clubs and resorts across the country. The new innovative idea will bring new business opportunities
for the cash-crunched private clubs.
The win-win strategy has been employed successfully in the casino industry for a long time and has given the casino business the most sought after boom it had been looking for many years.
President of the RVGolfers.com, Ed McKnew said, “Motor home owners tend to be an upscale group to begin with, and many are avid golfers who would love to have the chance to play golf just a few steps from their front door. This is an entirely untapped market
with genuine upside potential for public and semipublic courses willing to give it a try.”
The idea of inviting the vacationing golfers has been effective in and around some 75 private and municipal courses in the country, bringing lucrative business to the clubs. The strategy works quite well as the regular members rarely show up on the courses
for a round of golf during the weekdays.
The clubs are extending their camp grounds and offering more space to the RV owners who are otherwise not allowed to park in public places overnight.
Membership Director of the company elaborated the idea, “They can sign up online, give it a try, and see how it works for them. Because most courses are already busy on weekends and holidays, hosts are free to limit their invitations to weekdays or off-season
dates as they see fit.”
McKnew also mentioned the prerequisites of the membership and explained that the members will have to confirm reservations on a particular club before rolling in their heavy RV’s in the parking lots. As the weekends can sometimes be crowded at the clubs,
it gives the club managements room to make arrangements for the visitors more efficiently.
The club also has the right to accept or reject a reservation on a particular date. The website is currently working to enroll as much courses as possible on the national scale. The company is working to expand the database of the courses, willing to offer
such services at their venues.
The company also advises the private club owners to extend their parking lots both in terms of area as well as height to enable them to handle the growing number of motor homes.
The company is also upbeat about the project’s success in the coming days as the government statistics point towards more and more retirees who will hit the roads with the RVs.
