New job (blackjack dealer)?

Question

I am in training to become a blackjack dealer at night and it is all about the tips! I want to know if you can think of or have heard anything funny at the table. And when a player looses we are told not to say sorry, and instead say better luck next time...I don't like that either If I am loosing I don't want to hear better luck next time it sounds like I am being mocked..what do you think?

I am sure that the company will address this for you. Many casinos. have very strict policies, on what you can or cannot say. Always a good rule of thumb, what would you want someone to say to you? I think that you need to generalize, and include all of the losers, or just concentrate on the person that one. You may get cussed out, etc. Go on line, to blackjack dealer etiquette...I am sure you will be great!

For the serious player, it doesn't matter what you say honestly. They know the odds.

But if you want to hear some funny things dealers might say, hang around at a craps table for a while.

Well sometimes what we think personally and what the boss man wants is two different things  so guess you dont have alot of choices there if ya want to work.Maybe someone can help ou that works there with some new phrazes as you go along ok .Good luck on the job
