Question:

New kitten with one already

I have a kitten of 4 months and saturday i added a new kitten of 6 weeks in the family. Since then my older cat is trying to eat the little one and they just can't seem to stop. What should i do. My older kitten is a male and the new one is a female. They are not sterilized

  1. Get them both fixed immediately. They should come around.


  2. OK, neither of them is old enough to be fixed yet. It will take time for them to get used to each other. Keep them separated for a while, and give them time to get used to each other's scent. Slowly give them a little more time together. They will be ok. Trust me, I have raised too many to count, lol. But I really would suggest having them fixed as soon as they are old enough. If I remember correctly, for boy cats, the age is 9 months, and for girls, the age is 6 months.
