New laptop? (PLEASE HELP!) An HP invent with Windows Vista- How do I download my pictures? ?

I bought an HP invent laptop and opened the box last night.

I put my San disk card in it BUT I don't know how to actually get the pictures INto the computer????

PLEASE tell me how!!!!!

I'm going to start my first year of college next month so I'm trying to find everything out before I go. Your help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Did you check My Computer? I am not familiar with this laptop, however if you insert your card, it should show as a removable drive in My Computer. Then you just double click on that drive and drag/copy your pictures to your desktop or wherever you please.
