New laptop can't transfer Tivo files?

This is a long one, so follow me all the way through.

I just got a new Macbook to replace my old G4. It was heck, but I finally migrated everything over to my new laptop from the old one. This included my Toast 9 Titanium and Tivo to go services.

Ok, so when I open Tivo transfers it shows nothing in my Tivo recordings that I have transfered to my laptop. But the one fie I had transfered previously is in a folder under my documents called Tivo Recordings.

Now when I try to transfer a recording it will start to transfer, but after a few secs stops and nothing is there. The file is no where on my computer. When you go to look at the transfer while it is in progress the button beside it is blue. Then it just disappears. It's like it is trying to transfer but can't. There is no error message or anything. How can I get this to work again!?!?!?

  1. Can you do a test to see if your wireless adapter is working on the TiVo? Is it working right? I would think it is your TiVo antenna, your computer is new right? Give the network adapter a test. See if it sends anything out to your router. It might be hitting your router then cutting out. Test the path of the information. You know it gets the program info. But that comes from the cable then can take as long as it needs to get to your TiVo. The file transfer will stop if there is something wrong with the transfer. I am sure you have done testing already, but did you test the router to see if it gets that far? Good Luck!
