New laptop- really slow download speed?

I just bought my new laptop yesterday, and today I tried downloading firefox from internet explorer. Well, it took over 25 minutes to get to 42% then just got stuck. Why is this? My internet speed seems fine; youtube, google, facebook working fine etc. Any ideas?

It depends on the speed of your plan ISP provider that you signed up for

If you only have a 56kbps modem your download speed will be

Approx 4.5 to  5kbps and will take about 4 to 5 minutes to download 1mb

If you have dsl 256 512 to 1500 then it will take less time

From what you say I think you are using a 56kbps modem and the speed is normal

Locate a different site to do the download from there are plenty. If you went to the fox site I'm not surprised it was slow
