Question:

New laptop/windows vista question?

i just got a new laptop, and everytime i start it up it comes up with the windows vista options menu. i got rid of it once on my old computer, but i dont remember how to do it now. can someone help me out?

  1. goto run command & type "msconfig"

    there in the start up menu, disable the items u do not wish to to appear after starting ur system. also this will make ur system process faster..

  3. Hi, I'm 99% sure that if you look on that window, in the lower-left corner is a checkbox that is already ticked, saying "display on startup" or something like that. Just uncheck the option and it goes away.

    Seems obvious, but the checkbox doesn't really stand out. I remember being irritated with it the same and feeling pretty silly when I eventually noticed it;-)

    But I'm working from memory, so apologies if I'm on the wrong track!

  4. yeah like help_me said go thru msconfig its the easiest, plus u can disable nething else so its no so slow starting up.
