New laptop without a widescreen (normal XGA screen)?

Is there a new laptop model with an XGA screen (not a widescreen), that's less than $1000? It seems that only the older used laptops don't have widescreens.

wide is better, more pixels <--------> than befor <----> it just works better, and more room on taskbar
