  1. Not quite. Fleet Carriers are the battleships of the day, the ultimate force projection weapon. A nation that has them can both protect their assets/friends and threaten their enemies pretty much anywhere on the globe. The Royal Navy's decision to acquire these signals their intent to remain a major player, albeit subservient to the USA, anywhere on the globe.

Shot answer: This means Britain is intent on remaining a major naval power in the decades ahead.

  2. no its because the ones we have now are old and falling apart and cannot really accommodate everyone

  3. They do what they always do. They cause trouble. Without trouble the police and the armies can't exsist and the rich can't rob from the poor.

  4. i love those big Nemisis Aircraft Carriers,  ha ha ha and they run on nuclear power, so we don't need the oil to put one of those down your throat,

  5. Sounds to me as though someone has world domination fixed firmly in their sights.

  6. The US make much of their ability to place a formidable military presence almost anywhere without having to make a landing, so I guess as usual, New labour are aping their American pals.

  7. The decision to build these 2 carriers was made months before the oil crisis started. Its just modernising the Royal Navy which badly needs doing
