New list of yugioh cards that cant be used in a deck??? wtf... most of these cards come in starter decks...?

Ok, so i went to the yugioh website, and checked out the forbidden cards

and i seen there are a ton of cards that are in there that are forbidden... like Premature Burial, Change of Heart, Witch of The Black Forest, Call of the Haunted, Snatch Steal... cyber jar.. Pot of Greed...

most of these cards are contained in many starter decks... and they are making them so u cant use them in any of ur decks? thats ridiculus....

My cousins and I are wanting to play 100% by the rules, is that website accurate, or should we look somewhere else???...

Also, does anyone know what happens if i use Change of Heart of my friends Witch of the Black Forest, then tribute him??? i think he goes to my back to my friends graveyard??? or not???.... who gets to get a monster from their deck?

First off, you can use any card you wish in a friendly game, the forbidden list is for tournament play (nothing to stop you using it, or any old list, in your own games as long as both players agree to it).

The forbidden list is designed to create variety in official tournaments by weakening overpowered or overused techniques. As that website is the official source for the tournament list its totally accurate :)

Finally, as Witch of the Black Forest's effect activates when she goes to the graveyard, and she's your opponents card, your opponent gets to draw a monster. all cards goto their owners graveyard when destroyed, not the controllers.

For every 6 months, the Advanced Format list changes because of not only newer cards, but for usage of older cards in tournaments that are deemed to be too powerful or that constitute an unfair advantage. Keep checking the lists, unless you want to play as a traditional format mach which has no forbidden list- just limited and semi- limited. They are going to continue to make new starter and structure decks, so keep an eye out not only for the newer cards but keep your eyes on the advanced format lists if that is your chosen format.

By the way, your friend's Witch Of The Black Forest goes to his graveyard after the tribute. Considering you were the one sending it to the graveyard, you get the monster from your deck.

the decks contain them because they are older decks. the forbidden list gets updated every six months so the sight is accurate.

if you use change of heart on witch of the black forest and tribute it your friend gets to get a monster from their deck not you.
