New makeover for a dinner dance and...?

I really need to change my image. ALOT.

First off, my hair just completely sucks. I'm dealing with a short haircut that I absolutely did not like AT ALL. It's chin length, which is absolutely not good for a round face like mine. What can I do to make it look really great? I also need to ask what type of hairstyle I should do for this upcoming dinner dance. Straight, curly? Pictures would be great! I was also thinking of extensions, but nowadays, they're so expensive, and you never know which ones are worth it.

One last thing: along with my hair, I'm looking for a dress that'll just knock everyone dead. I'm not the prettiest girl around, and I want something that will hide the large tummy, emphasize the small b***s, and look good with some type of cardigan on top of it. Pictures would be awesome. I'm 5'4, if that counts for anything. BTW, it's just a dinner dance, so it's semi-formal. I don't want anything too formal, or too casual.

Get extensions, talk to your hairdresser about them. Get your makeup done proffessionally, and buy a little black baby doll dress ( that goes in a the waist) and finishes about knee height. You will look great.!

make up, hair blowdryed curly and down, and a nice black dress. U WILL BE FINE! Best wishes!
