New name I might add to my list, what do you think?

I am thinking about adding the name Presley to my girl list. Honest opinions? My sister mentioned it the other day and it's kind of growing on me.

Regardless of how many poor little girls have to suffer with masculine names, it will never change the fact that they are still masculine, especially for a name that not only sounds masculine but has a masculine meaning.

If you knew both girls and boys named James, would that make James a unisex name? No, it would not. James is a masculine boy's name that has been used on males for hundreds of years. These names are not feminine, are not girly, and most definitely not unisex.

It's pretty much saying "We wanted a boy but had a girl and decided to give a boy's name anyways" or girls aren't as good as boys so you gave them a boy's name so they will be better.

Kensie / Kenzie - It's alright, a tad masculine.

Emmersyn - Horrid for a girl. It's masculine, it means Son of Emery. That spelling is dreadful.

Brielle - Don't care for.

Marlie / Marley - Very masculine. And always will be associated with Bob Marley.

Liam - Love love love!

Roman - Don't care for.

Elijah - Love love love!

Presley is horrid for a girl as well. Extremely masculine and reminds me of Elvis.

If you're going to put Kensie, Emerson, Marley, and Presley on your list, at least put them on your boy's list, since they're all masculine.

No Presley. I hate that name.

Emmersyn is cute, but so ridiculously modern it makes me sick.

Marlie is cute, but it's kind of a dog's name. But it could be a kids name, I just wouldn't give it to my child.

I hate Brielle, I think it sounds ghetto and white trash mixed into one name, also Kenzie, because it's stupid. And Presley, because it's not a flattering name.

I like Roman, it's a nice name.

Liam is becoming to common, and I hate the name Elijah especially the nickname Eli.

Presley reminds me of Elvis but I think the name is kinda cheesy. I like the name Emmersyn though but I like it spelled Emmerson

There's nothing unisex about any of those. They're masculine, especially Emerson with it's meaning of Son of Emery. And Emerson is one of my middle names.

Do you even know the definition of unisex is? It's "not distinguishing between male and female; undifferentiated as to s*x". When a name is masculine, that a distinguishing gender, it's male. And therefore cannot and will not ever be unisex, feminine, or girly.

I'm not thrilled with Presley.  It's not very feminine in my opinion.

I really like Emmerson, but spelled this way.  Kenzie and Marley are adorable, too.

Roman Christopher is really nice.  It has a great ring to it.

Ok honest opinion.....

Kensie is cute. I love Emmerysyn! I don't like Brielle. And Marley is cute ( but also makes me think of a dog, now that that movie is coming out.)

I like Liam a lot. ( it reminds me of my sons name which is Lane and I obviously love that or I wouldn't have named him that!)

Roman is horrible! ( just in my personal opinion)

Elijah is cute.

Presley is cute and different.

Emmersyn is my fav for a girl though.

Just being honest here ... don't like Kenzie as a first name b/c I don't see it transitioning well into adulthood -- it would make a lovely middle name.

Maybe you could name her Emmerson Kenzie Joelle? While I like Brielle -- it wouldn't sound nice at all with Joelle as a middle name.
