New navy uniform hmm?

I am enlisting in the navy in a couple days and ive been looking around online and saw a new uniform the navy is issuing(digital BDU's). Just wondering when everyone in the navy can wear it... I would rather wear that then the cracker jack white uniforms lol.

Its a new uniform that everyone will eventually get. They always start the rollout of a new uniform to the folks in boot camp and they pick another area to start receiving it until they have enough available to cover the fleet. The digital uniform of 1 of 2 new uniforms coming. There is another that I saw someone already wearing yesterday that is a khaki shirt with black slacks. I don't know if she was a wear tester or had been from an area that already got the rollout.

Yup, they will actually start issuing them come december. Everyone will be required to wear them. The working dress, especially the white ones aren't all they are cracked up to be. I don't know how many times my fiance has come home with a stain on them for one reason or another. All the corpsman at the clinic have a tide to go pen or two in their desk because they are always getting stains on them. I admit they're cute but you always have to make sure to wear white or beige underware under them otherwise you might hear it from your CO.

I personallly love the digi BDU's. I love when my fiance wears his desert digi cams for combative training and when he is out with the marines. All I know is he still gets to wear his mess dress at our wedding so I don't mind too much. Plus if I want, I can always make him put on his working whites for me to see him in.

I live in the southeast and I read that we won't get them until 2009...(I'm not in the Navy yet but am switching over). My wife is quite upset though because she was looking forward to my wearing the cracker jacks.  And I believe on the navy.mil website are stories about the new uniform and I believe it said the whole fleet will be in them by 2010.

Who the heck knows.  The dates for some of the uniforms just got moved back...again.

I don't kw its nice huh! well my friend is in the Navy she said not till 2011 and I also ask because I'm join next year!

i am in the navy and the cracker jacks are not going away the BDU's are replacing the utilities and the coveralls and the tan and black uniform is getting rid of the working whites and blues all this takes effect in 2009
