  1. i live in houma. and i will leave as soon as i think its really headed this way. im guessing i will make my decision by sunday at the latest. i will go to shereveport, la or kilgore, tx(about 75 away from dallas). the best advice i can give is to monitor it and make the decision thats best for you and your family. as for me, if it gets close i will leave. just like i left for katrina. good luck and God bless

  2. I live a little over an hour from N.O. We stayed through Katrina, and we will stay again. There is still time for the storm to turn; it has happened before.

  3. Well, since I'm just 20-years-old, living here in New Orleans by myself going to college, my parents wanted me to evacuate as soon as I could. I'm going to a family member's house in Texas this afternoon when I get out of my last class.

As of right now, I'm not exactly sure where it's gonna go. They said Louisiana was going to be the area hit really bad by Katrina and [with the exception of the levees breaking] Mississippi ended up taking the brunt of it. Hurricanes  turn all the time and hopefully it'll turn somewhere else, like back in the ocean [lol] and away from land...but whatever happens, I'm prepared and I know God will take care of us ;]

  4. I live in Texas and we are going to the beach this weekend= no problem

  5. I dont know yet

  6. haha

i tried to get my mom to  take us to disney world to evcvacuate

  7. I live about 45 minutes outside of New Orleans, and my husband works there. His work is evacuating him to Georgia this weekend and we are of course going with him.

  8. I also live in New Orleans i have plans to evacuated to northern alabama sat-wed

  9. It is too soon to know where Gustav will make landfall. The probabilities are from western Florida to southern Texas.  It is also too soon to know how strong the storm will be when it does make landfall.

However, even the most dramatic forecasts predict Gustav will only be a weak Category 3 storm and therefore much, much less powerful than Katrina.

Just watch the news, and plan & prepare to evacuate if you need to.

    Good luck!
