ok well our tongues are really swollen and we were wondering how long it takes for the swelling to go away and if it will always hurt to eat.. or if its just when its healing

I got mine done like a month ago and my swelling went down in like 4 or 5 days just suck on ice....

It is only hard to eat when its swelling it will get better

most people take 3-5 days for the swelling to go down.

Mine started to go down after a week but was still slightly swollen for 3 weeks. Dont play with it or touch it because this will aggravate it and slow down healing. once the swelling goes down it will be alot easier to eat.. it may take a little longer for you to be able to eat tough things like steak etc but you should be able to eat most things after a week. Make sure to rinse your mouth out afetr having anything thats not water. Also if you notice white stuff coming out of the piercing dont worry its just dead white blood cells and is part of the healing process..

for 3-5 days normally ( if you look after it correctly etc. )

&it doesn't always hurt to eat, it only hurts until the swelling goes down

and then you can eat perfectly fine ;].
