  1. Well, the new school always bring out a fresh start of the year.  Some of the best way for you to be confident are: be friendly, have a decent personality, always smiles (not 24/7 cause that would be freaky, lol) and be yourself.  If you can achieve all of that, then you will have friends before you even know it.  All I can say, good luck.

  2. Be confident: Instead of thinking how weird you are, think about how fascinating you are! The people at your new school have probably gotten bored of each other, because they're all the same old friends with not much new to report. You on the other hand are coming from a different school perhaps a new country and have lots stories to share! So stop thinking of how people will think you won't belong, and start thinking about how much you have to offer these people!

Smile: It's easy and it's free. It makes you seem happy and friendly do people will come up and talk to you. There is nothing more off- putting than someone with a a frown on her face. Even if your scared because it's your first time meeting people, or taking a new subject at school, fake a confident smile.

Say Hello:Say hello to three people every day. Try this on anyone you recognize from standing in line at lunch with, seeing in a class, or just anyone who crosses your path: Say "hello"! As a wise woman once said, "you've got to catch as many fish as possible."

Practice make perfect: Strike up a conversation with a new person every day. Start by smiling and saying hello (you already know about that) Then when the people say "hi" make an effort to talk back, even if it's just ideal chit-chat(like talking about the weather) It is still a start to friendship. Because  the next time you meet that person, you've already spoken before so it'll get easier each time you meet! (Do this every day and you could potentially have 30 new friends in a month!)

Do lunch:When you go to lunch, don't isolate your self. Find a group of kids that look nice (possibly some of the other people you've talked to earlier) and sit with them. Just say hi to someone at the table, give them a compliment on their hair or something they're wearing, then say "do you mind if I sit hear?".

Get busy: Get involved. Participate in things like sports, groups, clubs, and committees. That way you will be meeting people with the same interests. These might become your new, closest friends. And you will fell included...and have lots of interesting activities in your life.

Now you're ready to make some friends, and remember just have fun!

    XOXO Melanie!

  3. be like hey!

  4. i know you hear this alot, but be yourself. and always be confident. i have moved alot. just remember it is always fun to make new friends because you get to see what kind of different people there are. if this is your first time moving i understand how you feel. i hope i can be a big help. good luck.

  5. just dont try to hard because acting desperate is the first way to make a fool out of yourself. you should be focused on finding friends that are good enough for you. dont change yourself to be "good enough" for other people. it sounds stupid but be yourself because you dont want friends who like only a fake you. be friendly and inviting. dont be afraid to walk up to someone new and start talking. if your scared of looking stupid in front of a whole group of people, you can try going up to someone individually. and if you guys hit it off, they might introduce you to their whole group of friends.
