  1.     Go to your superintendant or principle or councelor  and ask for a  study buddy, or extra help, be up front about your concerns. Just ask. Biggest step is asking for help. Accept it. Don't worry about being made fun of. Just laugh it off, or just ignore it. Sounds like you are a very smart individual. BE VERY BOLD. Everything will be o.k.   Friends--Just be yourself, you will find a friend.

  2. Before school starts see if you can visit the school and have a view of the school. I'm sure they sure let you view it, if they don't. Tell them the story you exactly told everyone here. I'm sure they'll understand, if kids tease you, totally ignore it. No one should be making fun of anyone, and if anyone makes fun of you, give it one chance. If they do it again, tell. I know people don't like tattle - tellers but they should totally understand you.

Good Luck in school and Good Luck again!

  3. Find out if your school has an ESOL program. Try to get into that. They'll help you  along with other kids who don't have great English.
