New school help please????

ok well i went to a privet school all my life and i got really sick of all the rules and uniform and my mom couldnt pay for it anymreso i dicided to go to a public school and im really nervouse1 privete scool kids are known as spoiled brats and i really want to make friends i dont care about being populair for now i just want friends! o and what do they wear? any help?

I go to public school and I know that if a kid came to my school and said they came from private school they would be popular! If you come from private school, people automaticly know your rich! Rich = POPULAR! But you definetly want to wear Abercrombie and Fitch and Hollister clothes that you can buy at a local mall. Those are the main brands that kids wear at public schools. Most importantly, JUST BE YOURSELF!!! You'll get more friends that way! School should be a blast sense public schools are much more layed back and if you didnt go to a coed school before, you'll see hot boys or hot girls!

Great Question! My name is Jon and I am going into Grade 8. I have been in public school my whole life, and I guess that I know alot about this. Ive struggled with bullying and peer pressure through the past  9 years. So my advice is be your self. Wear what you like to wear. If It makes you feel good then you should be happy. When you go there you will face alot of new challenges. But you need to hang in there. Want to know what I recently did that helps alot! I am going to a new school next year and I decided to try to get a new look, so I did. I look different, feel different and have a better attitude about life.

Another thing you should really do is write a blog all the time to vent out your feelings, and maybe somebody would enjoy to read your experiences. Thats what I am doing. I suffer from depression and havnt been really having a good time in life general lately, so why dont you also check out my blog. It will help you about going to a new school.

Lots of people go to Aeropostale, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, etc. Dress casual. Nobody is very dressy as school. Just simple, casual, and cute. Wear jeans and a tank top or short sleeve maybe.

If you want to make friends, try joining a sports team or a club. You might meet people with the same interests as you.

Popularity is kind of a big thing in school. Not elementary school but middle school/junior high and high school. Just be a social butterfly and talk to everyone.

To start a conversation, start with something simple. If someone is next to you, just be friendly and say hi. If they want to start a conversation, they would say hi back if they don't leave them alone. You don't want to get them annoyed by you and hate you. Start the conversation with simple small talk. Then, bring in themselfs. People like to talk about themselves, and tell their life stories and interests. Ask them a few simple questions, but not to much like your interveiwing her. Ask the person, "How was your summer, what did you do?" or pay them a commpliment and ask them about themselves like "Wow, your really flexible do you take gymnastics? Your really good."

When they start talking about themselves, make eye contact and nod so they know you are interested and listening. Interrupt them in the middle of the story and say "I got to go, you can continue later" that will make them look for you and come to you so you can meet and talk again.

Don't stick to one person like glue. Meet many people and be friends with them. Try asking if you can meet their friends and become friends with them. When you are friends with their friends, their friends may want you to meet their other friends. Start talking to everyone. Don't be shy or afriad, go for it!

first of all don stress...show them dat ur not a spoiled brat... if u want 2 make friends jus b urself don try 2 act like somone else cuz dat will jus bakfire.....b friendly...... u'll make friends in no time =P

Well i've been to public school almost my whole life and i live in the "ghetto" part of New york. Yeahh things get bad but seriously me and my friends are spoiled and smart.(ALL honors classes) so dont worry about it. You are going to notice that there will be some drama but it should stay mild. Also theres always a preppy clique in public schools. if you want to stay with what your comfortable then just be yourself and you should be welcomed in. Where abercrombie abercrombie && fitch is better and hollister that should get you on track.
