New set of golf clubs?

I want to get a new set of golf clubs, but I'm not sure which ones to get. I like graphite shafts a lot. I play pretty often in the summer, although I am not a pro. Any suggestions?

  1. Demo days are coming soon to a local golf pro shop near you.  That way you can tryout items from a variety of manufacturers.  Just wait until then.  Nike's new stuff came out today; new drivers, fairway woods, irons, and hybrids.

  2. I dont know what u like but i would start looking on ebay if i wuz u.

  3. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO SPEND? I CAN TELL YOU THIS GOLF CLUBS ARE THE WORST INVESTMENT YOU WILL MAKE. THE COST OF YOUR NEW CLUBS CAN SET YOU BACK ALOT OF MONEY. THEY WILL BE OUT DATED IN A FEW YEARS. NO ONE BRAND WILL HOLD ITS VALUE MUCH BETTER THAN ANOTHER. MY ADVICE WOULD BE LOOK AROUND AND BUY A USED SET IF YOUR ONLY PLAYING IN THE SUMMER. I'VE BEEN IN THE GOLF BUSINESS FOR ABOUT TEN YEARS AND GET NEW CLUBS EVERY YEAR FROM REPS. I PREFER TITLIST BECAUSE OF QUALITY AND I'M USED TO THEM. I DON'T EVEN BOTHER TRYING TO SELL MY CLUBS ANYMORE WHEN I GET A NEW SET BECAUSE I'D RATHER GIVE THEM TO A KID WHO WILL ENJOY THEM AND USE THEM FOR YEARS. MAKE SURE TO CONSULT WITH A PRO DON'T DEAL WITH SALESMEN THEY MAY SELL YOU THE WRONG CLUBS AS FAR AS SHAFTS, LOFT, ETC. DONT PAT TO MUCH OR IMPULSE BUY. GOOD LUCK.

  4. Try http://www.goosepoops.com.  They have links to several retailers for golf gear (ie: clubs, balls, shoes, gloves, apparel etc.)

It's also a network for golfers where you can join or form groups, have discussions in a forum, read and comment on user submitted golf stories, submit your own golf stories and find courses.

  5. im a huge callaway fan, try callaway pre-owned.com

i play x-18s and love them

  6. Hit several different brands on a launch simulator.  Buy what you hit the best.   The Data will tell you which ones are best for your swing.

  7. Since there are way too many clubs out there to make a practical suggestion. I would go to a local golf or sports store that will let you test and demo their clubs. You will know what feels best to you, after trying them out. You can also search for 'golf club reviews' online, and read what people thought of certain clubs. When you have found the clubs you like, go online to find the best price. Shopping.yahoo.com is always a good place to compare prices: http://shopping.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0...

  8. A lot depends on what you want to spend.

I would definately get customed fitted at a pro shop.

I would also recommend you take a look at the Ping G10

  9. hear me out on this one. there is a web site called gigagolf.com.. i know it is an online golf shop and they sell knock offs. i went on the site looked at what kinda of knock ofs they have and in my case the nike slingshot knock offs caught my eye. i went to the local golf shop tested the actully nikes and bought the knock offs and they are exactly the same. i they only cost $129.00 i could have even gotten a drive for only $85-100 more. and also you get to choose your grips, what shafts you want and what flex, they customize the clubs length and the lie of the club as well. personally im 6'1" so i had my clubs lengthened a half inch and i can tell the difference. you should really look into it i know im going to buy my next set from them casue im getting better now so i want to blade or combo irons. good luck with find a set that works for you. tee'em up and hit'em hard
