I have a 3 and 1/2 yr. old and I just had another baby two weeks ago. My 3yr. old has been potty trained for a little over a year, but since the new baby came home two weeks ago she has been having "accidents" like 3-6 times a day. do you think it could be for attention? and, how do I get it to stop?

  1. I think it's totally for attention. You should spend some time with her too and what is more important - try to involve her into baby caring stuff. Make her feel she is none less important and loved as she was before.

I know it's difficult to share the attention with a newborn but nobody said it was easy )

  2. It's called REgression and many children experience it when something dramatic happens in the family (such as a new baby coming)

Just make her feel special and let her know she is still your baby, but now she gets to help and be the BIG sister. Because babies wear diapers, Big sisters have to use the potty to help show the babies how to do it.

Let her help out and just be sure she is getting equal attention
