i just bought a new board and am keepping it in the bag for now. i know sometime soon i wont be able to resist puttin my bindings on it and just press and ollie in my basement to check the flex n pop and just to be able to strap in.

so after i take it out and put bindings on it should i put a coat of wax on it like a board that was ridden durring season or trust that the factory had a good enough wax.

  1. didnt wax it and it worked fine but it definitly wont hurt it if you do do it.  if you have the time theres no reson not to

  2. i did that before and i trusted the factory. my board still went very fast.

  3. It should be fine for the summer as long as you don't let it get moist where it is stored. Right before next season thought I would definitely put a nice coat of all temp hot wax on it since factory wax isn't even sub par. Good luck.

  4. i have a fattrax board.

i waxed it just to make sure. it went even faster after that.

my board is scary now. lol

  5. Slap on a thick coat for storage to help keep it somewhat protected and to keep the base from drying out.  When the season comes around, just scrape the excess off and go.  In fact, I'm not sure if it's even possible to over-saturate your base, so there really isn't any harm in putting extra on.

  6. Keep the wax thick for storage but before you ride you have 2 sand it of till its smooth we use wool pads and scrapers
