  1. You get what you pay for.  They are very cheap cars, that are good to go from point a to b, and nothing more.  They do not perform well, provide no driving experience (fun), and are rattle boxes after a year.

They lose value very quick for the reasons stated above and are considered throw-away cars.

  2. I like the Suzuki SUV's like the XL-7 and the Grand Vitara. I almost bought one before I bought my new (2005) Kia Sorento. But I just found out something VERY important just yesterday when I was at the dealer getting my oil changed. I paid almost $28,000 for my Kia Sorento, brand new in 2005. I put 34,000 miles on it and asked what it would be worth on a trade-in. They told me between $7,500 and $8,000! I was in a state of shock! They also told me Suzuki goes the same way. But, I love my Sorento, so I'll be keeping it for a long time!

  3. The ONLY reason to get a Forenza is warranty. Suzuki is having to offer 100,000-mile powertrain warranties in order to get sales.

The Forenza is a mediocre car, with mediocre performance and very low resale value. If you decide to buy it, you'll lose thousands when you drive off the lot. Edmunds.com just came out with its "Top 10 Worst Resale Value" vehicles list, and 3 of the 10 were Suzuki. Not a good sign.

Only person I ever knew that bought one hated it the moment she drove it off the lot. She only bought it because they were the only dealer that could get her financed. She tried to trade it in recently, and was offered $3500 for it (it's only 2 1/2 years old!). She will never even look at Suzuki again.

I would stick with the old tried-and-true sedans: Civic, Corolla, Accord, Camry, etc.

  4. The car is cheap and is really a great value for its functionality.  If you like performance the car sucks, its slow as ****, it takes a solid 11 seconds to get to 60mph, then theres the transmission, which shifts gears very slowly and is anoying when you need it to downshift, alot of time goes by while you waiting for it to shift so you can pass somebody.  The engine bay is really neat and organsised and easy to work in.  It does come with an awsome warrantee, the tires are really cheap, fuel economy realistically will not go below 19.5 mpg no matter how hard  you drive it as long as it is in good workign order.
