<p><strong>New talents likely to feature in South Africa’s T20 squad against New Zealand – Cricket News Update</strong></p>
<p>South Africa is likely to include a bunch of new players for their upcoming Twenty20 series against New Zealand in an attempt to test combinations ahead of a proposed overhaul of their T20 squad.</p>
<p>In the aftermath of an early exit from the ICC World T20, in Sri Lanka this year, Cricket South Africa hinted at radical changes in the T20 structure to prepare for the 2014 edition of the tournament. The decision to promote Russell Domingo, earlier this
month, as the head coach of the side for the shortest format, is likely to be followed by the inclusion of new faces.</p>
<p>“We are probably going to see a whole different look in the side. We are going to try a few youngsters here and there and there will definitely be a few new names. That's the way we want to go,” shared the T20 skipper, AB de Villiers.</p>
<p>“We want to give youngsters performing at the domestic level a chance to showcase their talents. We might see a different side against New Zealand coming through,” he added further.</p>
<p>Test skipper, Graeme Smith, who has not played T20 cricket for the national side this year, is unlikely to be named in the squad alongside middle-order batsman JP Duminy and all-rounder Jacques Kallis (both down with injuries).</p>
<p>The likely preservation of fast bowler, Dale Steyn, and the relocation of experienced Johan Botha to Australia, has opened a window of opportunity for young South African blood to compete against the Kiwis.</p>
<p> “We want to give youngsters performing at the domestic level a chance to showcase their talents. We might see a different side against New Zealand coming through,” added de Villiers.</p>
<p>The squad, expected to be announced soon, is likely to include the names of Aaron Phangiso (a left-arm spinner for Lions), all-rounder Chris Morris, and Roelof van der Merwe, after their impressive performances in the domestic circuit. </p>
