New tattoo question?

i just got a new tattoo, and he put a bandage on it and some A&D on it as well, and i took it off after an hour (as instructed) but i didnt wash it and i took a shower. i didnt soap up the tattoo, but i keep applying A&D in thin layers when it starts to dry out--- is that ok that i didnt wash it with soap and warm water when i first took off the bandage?

Wash it with soap always. There's a good chance nothing will happen of it, but after you get a tattoo, he puts the bandage on primarily because you'll bleed, and blood mixed with the lotion they use can clog the pores and keep a tattoo from fully coming out like it should, and it can even become infected.

you should have washed it with an antibacterial soap to prevent it from getting infected

some of the best tattoos ive seen have been done in prison,you think they have a&d ,listerine,speed stick no youll be fine
