New teachers in the state of maryland?

i know a friend whoms daughter is just graduated and wants to become a teacher, she is having problems finding assistance with finding assistance with financial aid, are there any programs that are available to assist with someone that so badly wants to become a teacher, even with the teacher shortage which is present.

Federal Student Loans, you don't have to pay them back until 6 months after you graduate and in some cases you can get grants (which is like schollarship - money you don't have to pay back). Good luck!
