New to Paypal Help??

I've just opened a personal account that I want to use for eBay purchases. I do not want to verify my Paypal account by entering my bank account information. Will adding a credit card verify my Paypal account? If not, can I still buy things from eBay using my unverified account and the credit card? Any tips on buying safely? Are there any fees associated with sending money through Paypal to pay for eBay purchases, or are those fees only for sellers?

Adding a credit card will not verify your PayPal account. You must add a bank account.

You can still buy things from eBay using an unverified PayPal account and the credit card. But you're limited to $2,000 in purchases, over the lifetime of the account. Once you go over that amount you'll need to verify your account by adding the bank account.

There are no fees associated with paying for eBay purchases through PayPal. Only sellers get charged a fee to receive the money.
