Hi!

I am new to the area and have recently gotten a job in Toronto at Carlton & Parliament. I am taking the Gotrain into union station but I am finding the subway/streetcar system really confusing! Any idea what route/stops I need to take??

  1. Hi !  Welcome to Toronto !

When you get off the GO Train, go through the passageway to the TTC Subway-Uniion Station, then take the subway that goes to the COLLEGE subway station, and transfer to the East-bound streetcar until Parliament Street.

(College St. and Carlton St. are essentially the same road; its just called College when its west of Yonge and its called Carlton when its east of Yonge)

Later in the spring, when the weather is nice and if you want some exercise, you could walk back to the Union Station, and check out the shopping along the way.  Its a bit of a hike, but its do-able.  In late spring, after work you can walk straight south on Parliament St. to the Distillery Jazz or Blues festivals for some great music.

All the best to you in your new job.
