hello there, I'm a kid who just got here to US. Admitted to a high school, I'm going to be a junior when school starts. My academic status is pretty good. I would really like to be admitted to an Ivy league college after I graduate. I heard that they look not only for academic achievements but skills and participance in various activities as well. The problem here is I've done a lot of these in my previous school which is in Asia. So I was wondering if here in America, would they accept all these things that I had did from my previous school or would they only accept the ones I did here.

  1. i would be active here. why take a chance on them not accepting what you did in Asia. plus, i think that they will look at what you have done recently. Just participate as much as you can! it will only benefit you!

  2. You submit your community participation and volunteer activities in an essay or survey. They don't ask you where you did your work, and it wouldn't matter, anyway. Welcome to the U.S. I hope your time here is enjoyable.
