New to comcast.How do you set up your phone?

you dont, you get verizon fios instead because its cheaper and they set it up for you.

but ok, it comes w/ a phone + internet modem thing.  you plug that into a coaxial cable (the comcast cable) and then you plug your computer or wireless router into the ethernet port on the phone/internet modem and the main phone line for all your phones (where the line comes into your house) into the phone jack on the modem...so it probably makes sense to put the phone/internet modem in your basement and get a wireless router for internet.  oh and dont lease a wireless router from comcast, they rip you off.

and honestly, just to do you a favor, get fios if you can...im not affiliated w/them or anything, but theyre cheaper in the long run ($110 basically forever, where as comcast is $99 for one year and $150+ afterwards) and they have better internet and phone and more tv channels.
