Just recently got my learners permit but I'm finding it hard to make good turns.

How much do I twist the wheel, mostly.

I either make it to sharp and stick to close to the curb or too broad and go into the next lane.

Its so frustrating

  1. you just have to make it smooth, dont try to do it really fast. and dont turn before you go forward, start to go straight then make a gradual turn with the wheel, then let the wheel turn back by itself.

youll get the hang of makeing turns when you drive more, at first it was hard for me, after time ull be able to feel your car and just no how it is. you can also just try and aim for your left front tire to line up with the yellow line or white dotted line which ever lane your trying for.

    hope this helps

  2. i also just started driving, corners are tricky but you just have to judge it well because every corner is different, so just go on the same corners your going to and practice them and get a feel for them and how far to turn the wheel.

sorry if this doesn't help, good luck.

  3. This depends on how small or big your car is & your speed at the time etc etc. Normal small car, you got both hands on the wheel (as u have to being a learner), look at the curb and wait till you see the edge/end of curb around...let's say close to midpoint of your car, then do close to 180deg turn with steering wheel. It's hard to explain without showing ya dude.

  4. You are there to LEARN. No- one can tell you anything to help, but your instructor might make suggestions, he is the one on the spot. Time is the final teacher.
