New to makeup and I need some advice...

I'm new to the whole makeup scene. I need some advice on what to use. I'm 17 years old. I don't want a big routine that's going to take forever. I want it to look natural and be simple. Not cakey! Here are some things to take into consideration:

*I have blemishes, red marks from old acne and some new pimples.

*I am using tazorac and minocycline for my acne so I don't want to use anything that will dry my skin out more.

*Or make it oily.

*I have dark circles under my eyes (they are hereditary).

*Nothing expensive, I'm only 17.

If you could find some products and build a regimen for me that would be great!

  1. Well... There is Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. I don't know WHY I bought it, because it provides too much cover-up for me. I don't even have pimples and stuff so again I do NOT know why I bought it. But, my mom has somewhat bad skin and she uses it. Her skin looks fantastic too. So just try that out, you can buy them from Wal-Mart. It's a bit difficult to choose your skin tone for the foundation though. And to make your skin look healthier use bronzer(:

  2. * For the blemishes* - Try ProActiv. I heard that it works really well. Otherwise use some blush to cover them up.

    * For the Dark Circles* - Nothing works better than cucumbers. Put them on your eyes every night until school for about 45 minutes. Don't expect the results right away, these things take time.

This isn't very expensive, and it's GOOD for you :)

  3. use bare essentials they are good for your skin, it is a brand that makes foundation and other makup.

  4. concealer and blush and mascara

    covergirl concealer is good

  5. Hello! I have oily skin like you and like you I don't like to excessive makeup that cakes my face. This is the daily procedure I use. I first cover my spots by using foundation - the best one i found for my oily skin is Maybelline  new pure make up and it's not expensive at all. If I have too many red spots, sometimes I need to use a concealer. I use a concealer under my eyes because I have dark cirles too (an inexpensive one i use is rimmel). Then I apply a thin layer of powder (Rimmel) which absorbs the oil on my face and some blusher (Rimmel). Now this is what does the trick - I apply shimmery nude eyeshadow (I use MAC Dazzlelight - which is slightly expenisve but so so good but you can find a cheaper one for sure) on the eyelid till the brow and under the eyes and instead of dark circles, I get a wonderful shimmery light round my eyes!! Then I apply some brown mascara and lip gloss. This takes me around 5-7 minutes. Good luck!!! Love, Zahir
