Question:

New to running- ish me legs and feet always hurt?

anyways ive got good running trainers, dont overdo it , have rest, why are me feet always aching especially my knees ?

  1. It is because you are new to running...your body is adjusting.  It does take some time for your body to stop protesting and start conditioning.

    Ice your sore muscles with a covered ice pak, rub gently for 10-15 minutes/3X/day and take advil if necessary.  This will help reduce inflammation and soreness.  Do some knees strengthening exercises (knee bends - hands on the hips, back straight, look ahead, bend your knees and do 15-20 times.  Do this everyday)  Stretch gently after each work out.  Make sure your strides are small, bigger strides can stress your quads, knees and back.  Shorten the strides, this may help as well.
