New to the backfield not sure what to expect?

alright so im going to be trying out for fullback this football season and im not sure what to expect ive played line and tight end and middle linebacker and just about all over the field. and im just trying to get an image in my head of what to expect?

  1. I played fullback for a few years in an option based offense. So I got the ball fairly often. You have to have vision, and you HAVE to be able to hang onto the ball.

    You're going to want to make the most out of every touch you get.

    Just be sure to focus on blocking just as much as you focus on ball handling though. You'll have a full head of steam while chasing down the defender, so put him on the ground.

  2. well ure gonna be more involved in blocking and less in running. ure gonna be used as a lead blocker 4 your running back alot. but it depends what kinda offense u guys run

    You can expect to be hitting people hard.

    And you can expect the coach to demand a lot of you.

  4. ur goin to have to except to lead block for the running backs and wen you do get the ball it goin to be for short yards situation like 4th and 1 or 3rd and 2 stuff like that
