New tv..fuzzy screen??

I just purchased a Westinghouse 42 inch 1080p flat panel lcd tv. But i hooked it up and the screen is pretty fuzzy and not as sharp as i know it should be. I have it hooked up to dish network and that is it..no dvd players or anything yet...how can i make the image clearer?

Are you on an hd channel? Just like the old computer saying, junk in ... junk out. Also try an hdmi cable. If nothing seems to work, you may need to return the set but my guess is your on a standard def channel
