Subways and trains, especially with high gas prices, I think you can save more with this kind of transportation

It's not really new, but the revival of the electric car, sometimes recharged by solar power, could be part of the solution to our energy/pollution problems.  

Many families with two or three cars, could trade in one gas guzzler for an all electric plug in for errands and short trips.
