New york city events in december

Question

hi ive been looking on websites for tickets for events at madison square garden in december but they have hardly anything on, is this because its still early for events to be booked or does it go quiet in this month?

My favorite December event in NYC is the Winter Solstice concert at Saint John the Divine Cathedral in Morningside Heights.

Paul Winter fills the Cathedral with his amazing music and puts together a fantastic show.  The cathedral itself is a beautiful setting.

NYC quiet in December not at all.  All the shopping the lights the decorations.  There are tons of stuff do do in NYC in December.  It is christmas time so there are lots of broadway shows going on, christmas plays, I can't even think of them all. I think it is one of the best times to be in NYC is December.

You don't want to limit yourself to MSG - there's so much to do in the city in December that's more fun...

1) Rockafeller Center Christmas tree

2) Grand Central Station's light show

3) Rocketts Show at Radio City Music Hall

4) Macys on 34 Street's Holiday Windows (and shopping)
