New york city residents?

Question

my husband and i are going to be visiting nyc next week, and want to eat out at a unique place. can anyone recommend a place to eat that is reasonably priced and unique to new york city?

to be honest I'm not really sure what kind of food your interested in but if you would like to eat some good Argentinian food you could go to the Argentinian corner in queens is located in corona ave. and junction blvd. their food is great and so are their prices or as a matter of fact any place out side of Manhattan that not a franchise has good food and good prices specially the Hispanic places

We have opened up about 7 weeks ago, this is a restaurant/lounge where traditional American favorites are prepared w/ an International flavor.  We serve everything from steak to fondue to penne a la vodka to burgers.  All the prices are very reasonable and very affordable.  I have partnered up w/ the owner of the restaurant so I will make sure you enjoy yourself.  We also have amazing drink specials.  Let me know if you are interested.

Any restaurant that is not a chain is great, if you feel like exploring the lower east side......you should i would go  to bruschetteria, it is tiny and one of a kind, if you want something crazy you can go to lucky changs, (all the servers are drag queens and they put on shows) just walk around and find a place that looks good to you, thats the best part about nyc, there is always something unique to find.

ok, not that reasonably priced, but as it's a tasting menu, you can eat as much or as little as you want.  you get out a menu with a lot of little dishes and you pick between 3 and 4 dishes,  It may not sound like a lot, but last week I couldn't eat my 4th dish and couldn't think about dessert.  The restaurant is Maze in the London Hotel on 54th Street and it is owned by Gordon Ramsey who is one of the top chefs in all of England, and has a few different shows on BBC America and on Fox. He is quite a character but a true perffetionist.
