Taking a month long vacation and I am driving form Syracuse,NY to vancouver,BC I have driven across the country many times and it has been wonderful. I plan on driving to washington and going up to vancouver from there. How much trouble do you think I will have at the border getting into vancouver having NY license plates way out in washington. Really I have no plans or destinations to tell the border patrol exept i'm on vacation and I want to go to vancouver. I have a passport etc... and I will be bringing my dog which I have the rabies certificate and all records for. I know there is no way to know for sure but I was wondering if anyone thinks they will give me trouble for being 3000 miles form home with no real reason lol. I wanted to stay in BC for 2 days or so then start the slow drive home. Thanks in advance for any advice/opinions and tips.

  1. Might hassle you a bit, but if you've got the right documents

and you've nothing to hide, it'll be fine.

  2. I have crossed that border alot of times-used to live in Seattle.  With the docs you have you will be fine.  They are a bit jerks out there at that border but it still will be fine.  heres a couple articles on the dog though.
