  1. there must be some reason why so many kiwis move to australia

  2. I would think Australia, bigger place with more choices of accomadation and schooling.

  3. AUSTRALIA! no doubt about it.

i dont think i could stand to live in New Zealand (no offence new zealanders) but i just CANT STAND their accent.

    drives me nuts

  4. New zealand Its an awesome country

  5. New Zealand is a much more tolerant society, and there is greater integration of races. Australia (and I love it dearly) still has an attitude that the white man is tops.

Standard of living is fab in both, more english-orientated in NZ, more of an american feel in Aus. If you are writing from the uk the opportunities in either make for a much brighter future than staying where you are.

    Either way, best of luck.

  6. Australia would have to be the right choice.

More in particular Western Australia, has the highest stardard of living in the world, great education system, low crime. The weather is the best in Australia, fantastic beaches and it is known as a great state for families raising children because it is a very family oterented state but on the other hand also great for adults. I am very patriotic of my wonderful state.. but were ever you choose to live in australia im sure you would love it, even if you choose to live in new zealand im sure it would also we nice :) good luck where ever.

  7. Well, from what I've heard, there aren't the population for New Zealand is very low. In fact, there are more cows there than there are people. I would say Australia because it is a great country, and the kids would have an easier time making a lot of friends. In addition to that, because of the higher population, there are more opportunities, more public places to visit, more jobs to get and a great lifestyle.

  8. New Zealand is a beautiful and very pleasant country to live in, but Australia has far more opportunities for everyone as you would expect from its much larger population, enormous natural resources and better economy.

The living standards are difficult to compare directly, but Australian employment opportunities are better, wages are higher and there is more choice in everything. Many thousands of Kiwis come to Australia to work every year and very few Australians move in the other direction to work - there are very good reasons for the discrepancies in emigration/immigration rates.

I can't comment on the quality of NZ's education, but you can rest assured that Australia's is very good. Both countries are great places in which to raise kids but their employment prospects in Australia will always be better than in New Zealand.
