Newbie needs help - Offline Mode

Question

Hi. I got a new samsung, its an M520 with Sprint Power Vision and Music Store. I just installed samsung pc studio II pims & file manager. I want to use my pc with the phone to add contacts to the phone and to send text messages from my pc and to share photos from my phone to the computer and back. I'm connected via USB. The software appears to be working but I'm in Offline mode. I don't know how to switch to Online mode. What am I doing wrong? Please help... thank you.
